2016 SUMMER "LIGHT" TRAINING CAMP (CLICK FOR MORE DETAILS)

2016 Summer "light" Training Camp for Starskaters and Competitive Skaters working on their Preliminary Freeskate and higher. Group lessons are not provided, skaters must arrange private lessons with their preferred coach. Open to all skaters from any island club or visitors from off island. Participants must have been registered with Skate Canada for the 2015 -2016 Season.

Get ready for your season by joining the Summer Training Camp.  Keeping it light, it will run Monday - Thursdays for three weeks. Skaters are encouraged to participate in the full program including off-ice classes and presentations. Come and get conditioned for the start of your Fall/Winter Season.

Do you have plans to skate at a full time summer program or do you want information about summer skating off-island? For example: close-by, the Moncton Mariposa offers 3-7 weeks of programming. Skate Canada PEI will fund skaters $200 per week for a minimum of 3 weeks for off-island summer training for those that qualify.  Skaters must have passed their preliminary freeskate test.  Contact Skate Canada PEI for more details. The Section will also be funding the cost of a judge monitoring session at the PEI Summer "Light" Training Camp for skaters to get feedback on programs and get competition ready. The monitoring session is intended for those competing at the Pre-Juvenile and higher for the 2016 -2017 season. Space permitting other levels may have programs assessed. Funding from the Section, to the camp, will be prorated based on the number of skaters who participate at a full time off-island skating school for a minimum of 3 weeks during the summer.

Have you been off the ice all summer and are you wanting to compete at the Fall Skate Competition? This is a good camp to get yourself back in the game.
